Groups of 10 to 30 people (maximum number) must book their visit in advance contacting ADMaiora srl: prenotazioni@admaiora.education

Online ticket is recommended for single tickets under 10 people. Online ticket must be taken even for those who are entitled to a free ticket (children included).
In case of overcrowding access times can not be guaranteed to all visitors for security reasons.

Every first Sunday of the month free entry to the museum for all visitors (without the possibility of purchasing online).

Online tickets will not be on sale on May 10, 2026, due to new fare adjustments.

Holders of an AM Lombardy Val d'Aosta card or an Esselunga voucher are eligible for a free ticket by showing up at the ticket office; free ticket is not available online.

    Standard admission to the Museum (excluding the first and third Tuesday of the month after 2:00 pm and the first Sunday of each month when admission is free)

    Categories eligible for the reduction: visitors aged 18 and over 65 years of age or older, university students, EU citizens between 18 and 25, including Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein (non-EU citizens on reciprocal terms), Milan City Council employees.

    Free admission is available to children and young people aged 0-17, as well as high school students, disabled visitors and one accompanying adult, school teachers (permanent or on a fixed-term contract) upon presentation of a valid certificate issued by the school, MIC officials, ICOM members, European Union tourist guides, European Union tourist interpreters when required to work alongside the tour guide, and members of the City of Milan's governing bodies in the performance of their duties. Free admission is available every second Tuesday of the month for young people up to and including 25 years of age.

Museum info

The Civic Aquarium, established in 1906 for the Milan International Exhibition, is housed in a Viennese Art Nouveau building in the Sempione Park area, just steps from the Sforza Castle.

It offers a detailed overview of Italy's marine and freshwater aquatic environments; the interior space includes educational and exhibition itineraries with numerous tanks containing over one hundred species of aquatic organisms. It is a dynamic venue that hosts cultural events that bring art and science together.
