Holders of an AM Lombardy Val d'Aosta card or an Esselunga voucher are eligible for a free ticket by showing up at the ticket office; free ticket is not available online.

The Civic Aquarium, established in 1906 for the Milan International Exhibition, is housed in a Viennese Art Nouveau building in the Sempione Park area, just steps from the Sforza Castle.
It offers a detailed overview of Italy's marine and freshwater aquatic environments; the interior space includes educational and exhibition itineraries with numerous tanks containing over one hundred species of aquatic organisms. It is a dynamic venue that hosts cultural events that bring art and science together.
